Re-installed MK 2 in 2 out Exhaust

I was running MK Stingers for the track, but when I started instructing I needed a little more quiet for the headsets to work.

I installed an MK Sport exhaust, but since I had removed the OEM bracket for the stingers, I jyst supported the exhaust at the flanges with nothing supporting the can itself. DUH!

Needless to say, after a season the flanges had separated on one side and cracked on the other.

I contacted Ben, shipped the exhaust off and he upgraded the exhaust to the current generation for free "under warranty"

That's a hell of a warranty since it was installer stupidity that caused the issue.

Thanks for being such a stand up guy!

This is the artwork Ben returned to me. BTW, he sent me email reply's from his vacation!

That's some good customer service! This is why I will be buying one of Ben's mufflers within the next few weeks.

How loud is the 2 in 2 out compared to stock? I know he says it's about 10dB louder, but is it obnoxious loud, or too loud for driving through a quiet neighborhood? I am leaning towards a 2 in 1 out, but I still wonder if I'd like the sound from a 2 out better. I currently have a Bursch 2 in 1 out, and I am not very happy with the sound.

Thumbs up

Ben sells caps for one side, so it takes it down a lot. I tried this by simply covering the right side momentarily and it really drops the sound down. You could also just get the 2 out and cap it at the muffler, it will sound like your one out Bursch.

I thought it was really loud initially then I angled the tips down just a bit and it took the edge off.

Is it loud?...yes, too loud?... not really, I can still hear the radio when I have it on, my neighbors haven't complained. I really like the sound, very racy.

Overall highly recommended, great design, sevice, performance and sound.
