Need help identifying a mirror

I have a chrome flag mirror that came as a spare with my 71T.

On the back of the mirror housing is a roman numeral 3 followed by E1 in a box and then 17017

In the inside of the base is the number 91173101300 and what looks like a brand mark - hohe

I'm assuming this is from a 2.4 car

Thanks for the help

While I'm at it, the mirror that is on the car is a black rectangular mirror with the brand name Smat (made in Italy). Looks period. Does anyone know anything about these mirrors?

Pictures would help. A brushed metal rectangular mirror was fitted on the 2.4 1972 and 1973 models. I believe that late in 1973 the mirror grew in size making it's shape still rectangular but approaching a square. Your part number seems to correspond with the 1972-1973 model. Does it look like this:

Not great pictures...

You can just make out the stamp on the back right by the neck

I was thinking of that type or a bullet type on my RSR clone, where is a good mirror source?

sfoster13,

Your mirror is the later, larger style mirror fitted to the 74-75 cars--possibly late 73, but not sure. It is correct for the 2.7 cars and looks to be OEM.
