reverse light relay/switch?

Another question from the new guy trying to find the electrical gremlins

The reverse lights dont work. Doesnt appear to be a fuse issue and its not the bulbs.

Is there some sort of relay or switch at the transmision that activates the reverse lights?

Yep. Look under the car between the back of the transmission and the firewall. (Toward front of the car). The switch should have a rubberboot over it. It is kind of sandwiched up above the transmission mount bar. On my SC the plug had fallen apart and somone had "repaired" it by trying to zip-tie the bullet conectors into the switch. Another thing that can happen is that there is a pin inside the switch/trany that gets worn down or can shea off. Sometimes the reverse lights get stuck "on" if it shears.

The reverse light switch on a 915 is next to the shift rod, there is a rubber boot that covers it

The white 2 pole thing to the left(from this perspective) of the shift rod

It could be the wire, the switch or the internal pin causing an issue, You can test by shorting the 2 wires to each other.
