Please help aero mirror part #'s

Just got my 930 strosek back from the restoration shop after waiting 6 months, and my body shop tells me that the 993 aero mirror base for the drivers side is the wrong one. I do not remember when or where i bought them from but the drivers side base that bolts to the body looks much different from the passenger side and does not even come close to the gasket fitting. Does anyone have the part #'s for the two lower mounts to see if i have the right ones ? Also are these available to order from porsche alone ? these are going on a 1986 porsche 930

I don't have the base part numbers because I sold my aero mirrors.

However the bases should look similar in shape between the driver's & passenger's sides.

Here's a pic of what mine looked like.

These mirrors also were put on the 968....I wonder if you have a driver's side for that application

thanks for your reply i looked at the two part numbers and one prefixes with 965 for the passenger side and the other part prefixes 945 does anyone know which model this is for, also then just need the proper part number for drivers side base

the PET shows that the 993 part numbers, which are the parts that work on the 911, are:

- 965.731.242.01 for the right side
- 965.731.241.00 for the left side

it shows for the 968 version a 944 prefix instead of the 965 prefix

however it shows for the 945 prefix for other 968 items.....chances are the driver's base is for the 968.

The mirrors were also used on 928's as well but their base's numbers start with the 928 prefix
