still have idle issue
Hey guys i made an adjustment and i got the idle much lower but i still have issue with when you rev engine the idle takes a bunch of seconds to return to normal or sometimes does not return to normal idle it almost seems like something is not snapping or closing fast enough any help is greatly appreciated 83 3.0 sc had recent tune up and when you drive feels like a new car no problems just the idle wont return to normal rpms

could be..
search decel-valve (crunch /compress) careful... to much..=new one and start over... I had the same problem..compress fixed it.. we are talking milimeters..so be careful, recent excellence mag. had a tech tip on same. Rika |

It still sounds like air leaks, though you should confirm the decel valve is working correctly and the distributor advance is also returning properly. Vacuum leaks will cause all kinds of problems with CIS as the two fundamental components of the system rely on controlled vacuum and fuel pressures.
