I wave, and sometimes flash, and have since I had my now departed 928. However, I am in city traffic and in a cabriolet, I see people before they see me and they often see me right as we are parting. I do notice that SUVs almost never reciprocate; the older ones almost always do, unless they think I am asking for a race (which is absurd! No racing in Greta!). I think the shear quantity of offensive drivers in the City make people around here expect the worst from any hand gestures.

I figure setting a good example for new owners is a good thing!
