Can electric windows be lowered/closed manually?

Need some help. Car is in parts and I need to lower the window a tad. Can I get them down manually? Tx

Tx, I'll give that a try. I thought there was some kind of mechanism to do this similar to the sunroof.

According to my '88 Owners Manual the small door mounted speaker grill gives access to a hand crank location. I believe the hand crank tool is in the toolkit.

Man,..I need to reread my 89 manual...that's good info! I hope to find it there, as you did.

If it's NOT there (in the manual), I'll look at my Bentley manual to see if the same applies to a "89.

THANKS ANDREW!!!

Interesting. I don"t think my 87 has this option. I"ve never seen that tool.

I've always wondered what that thing in my toolkit was for. My '88 came with an '86 manual that doesn't talk about the emergency instructions.

FYI...managed to figure out that, in my case, the problem was the wire harness in the front wing just ahead of the passenger side door. I wiggled that around based on a suggestion on another thread and now the switch for the passenger window on the driver's side and the actual switch on the passenger door work. Not sure what I can do to really "fix" the problem but at least it's working, more or less.
