oil line brackets - how many are required?

Can anyone tell me, on a 3.2 Carrera how many oil line brackets are required on the RHS of the car. These are the brackets that are required to hold the oil lines to the underside of the car, these connect the to the rocker panel covers that run along the lower edge of the side of the car. My mechanic said six are required whereas the pelican parts list says 3 are needed. Please can someone help me? I need to know if I have to order another three brackets.

I strangely have seen it differ.

My SC which is as came from the factory has 3 hard brackets along the rocker.

My older car only used 3 as well. However When I got a later turbo cooler setup it had 4 metal brackets and 2 rubber/ metal brackets.

I am sure 3 are fine. Do a search a while back I posted a diagram with measurements for the specific locations of the 3 brackets.

Don't forget the bracket hiding behind the right rear wheel/tire. That one and the three under the rocker panel are "double" brackets (they each secure two lines), and are used with a piece of rubber fitted to each line at each bracket position (you need 8 rubbers). Add to those the two clamps, which are different than the other four, that go up under the right front fender, and... Kudos to your mechanic - 4 brackets + 2 clamps = 6!

I feel like I'm stalking you but could you tell if this set-up is ok? It feels a bit awkward and twisted.
Is a bit of body contact ok for the rear hard lines, I'm putting a bit of rubber in between in any case.

Next time I'm Bakersfield I'll buy you a cold one.

Tx, I still have to do the rear brakes and suspension. Plans for next winter.
I even replace the tubes of the head lamp washers, nice and clean and soon nobody will ever see it again.

Peter has explained the layout exactly. The one double bracket behind the rear wheel, however, is a bit different than the three along the rocker--a bit larger arch for the two lines. Part #999-511-080-02-OEM. All, I believe, are carried by our host.
