anyway to get key for car alarm system?

I have ignition/door key but not the key that goes inside the door to turn on/off the Porsche car alarm...is there anyone who knows of a resource to figure out how to get a key to fit? Short of getting a replacement key, is the only other option to rip out the current key switch and replace?

I'm sure a master locksmith could probably duplicate a key for ya, but you might go to a lot of trouble to only find out that the reason you don't have a key is that the system doesn't work. Or do you know the system works?

I know for my "84" that alarm lock is NLA...

You see a lot more posts looking for help to disable it than you do for how to enable it.

Well, seeing as I have one, I'd also be interested in getting a key. The locksmith approach is probably best.

What I did years ago was to buy a new lock assembly and it came with a new key.

I don't think it comes apart. I read somewhere it's not just and on and off switch, it has different resistances that the system looks for in each position.

Correct, from another thread:

I handed the guy at the counter the whole lock and said I need a key, he replied for a Porsche right, no problem.
