Nice!

rattlsnak 02-13-2010 02:14 PM

back from the 'archives'..!! I am finally able to somewhat get back to work on the project.. as some of you know, i dislocted my shoulder/broke my arm and ripped a bunch of cartlidge and tendons and stuff out a few months ago and the surgery/healing/therapy has been slow and painful to say the least...
Anyway, I have all of the bolt on stuff painted now and hope to get the body prepped and painted this week and then reassemble everything...

My offer to help still stands, and since it's getting warmer around here my labor costs a whole lot less.

stormmaster 03-11-2010 11:18 PM

Beautiful job....looking forward to seeing it in person soon.....hope mine wont be too far behind you if the weather starts to cooperate. By the way....Brandon did another masterful job for me today....Thanks for getting me the help.

Looks great. Do you work at Hot Wheels?

RandyF 03-18-2010 09:53 PM

Nice looking 964! I like the black on white color scheme.

Halm 03-19-2010 03:15 AM

sort of, it depends on who you ask.. ;)

rattlsnak 03-21-2010 07:33 AM

well so much for driving it this weekend. failed emissions test.. (i had a a feeling it would fail because of the cat bypass but i tried anyway).. LOL. oh well, time to put the Cat on and try again..

Joe Bob 03-21-2010 07:45 AM

Consider pre testing...find a friendly shop and disconnect one injector. It dilutes the exhasut stream as the non functioning cylinder works as an extra air pump.....I assume your State doesn't have a visual test or a rolling dyno?

rattlsnak 03-21-2010 12:04 PM

we have visual and rolling dyno for my model year, but two places looked at the bypass pipe and 'assumed' it was the cat.. LOL.. I failed becaue of high NOx and HC readings, so the Cat and a new O2 sensor should take care of it. (it has the original O2 with 90,000 miles, so its time for that anyway.)

a few more out in the rain today!

rattlesnak - how late are you at the shop and what days? My commute takes by your shop every day and I would like to swing by one afternoon and see that car and pick your brain a little. Thanks - Farrell

baq911 03-23-2010 06:39 PM

great job! I see an SLR in the background? yes? is that fixable or salvage?

rattlsnak 03-23-2010 09:26 PM

Farrell, the past few weeks ive been there till at least 7 or 8 trying to get caught up and will be there till at least 7 for the next few days. What time do you pass by?

Baq- its an SL 500 and it is being fixed.. it was beyond totalled, but the guy bought it back and wants to fix it, so we clipped in a new front piece from another car so far.
