Dashboard Heater Conrol Panel
Planning to replace the 4 lights behind the control panel due to their excess heat that has disfigured the 4 mounting holes
I would like to replace them with a new wiring harness with (4) 12 volt clear LED assemblies. I checked with Radio Shack and found colored 12 volt LED assemblies but no Clear Does anyone have a source for the 12 volt Clear LED assemblies? Many Thanks, Bill 1979 Targa

Just LED's? - maybe Digikey?
Not sure I follow the application, but I saw some thread regarding illuminated tape or in dash LEDs where they recommended 4 leds per original lamp (as in 16) in the case of clear color.

The 'mounting holes' are a part of the panel so you pretty much have to replace the whole panel to fix it. Maybe there is a way to rig something aftermarket, I dunno?
I just replace the panel in my -84. The job wasn't all that bad. Lucked out and found a good used panel in the parts FS section... jt |
