Check to insure the sensor is properly connected. MIne came loose and it caused havoc.
Make certain the harness is not broken or the metal shield is touching anything metalic, it will cause a false reading on the ECU(DME)

Do you have a LM1 to confirm AFR?
If not you can use a DVM to your O2S to get rough reading. Break a Leg 85

No on the lm1 . I'm just about ready to check all the values cht, afr, tps etc... if I can find them and where to check them.

I have a blue point dvm. I checked the o2 sensor output this am it was .50 .
i checked the afm and tweaked it. Still surges with o2 plugged in. no induction leaks, plugs new, wires almost new, valves adjusted.

Did you check the value after you brought her up to running temps?
I assume yes. Adjust AFM to 0.80 volts, then jumper the B & C and set your base idle. If stock 780-800 or if SW Chipped 880-900 RPMs

Hey KidRock,
When you look at the AFM in the engine bay. it is the left rear corner. It may have a cap that needs to be tapped out. There is a thread on that. If open, then someone has tampered with it in the past. Uses a 3MM Allen Wrench.
