The similarity between an SR71 Blackbird engine and a 911 engine.

It's oil pipes. As pointed out by my 12 year old son at the Boeing Museum in Seattle. They really are the same.

One is Mach 3.2 and the other is 3.2 Liters, that pretty much is where the similarities end...

I didn't mean to take anything away from your Son's interesting observation...

As an aside, the SR was designed with a "slide rule" before computers, so just think what the Skunk Works could be up to 40 years later...

No prob Mitch and yes it is an incredible piece of engineering. It's in fact the third one I saw. First one in 91 Mobile, Al, second one last year San Diego and now this one. Every time as impressive.
