Paint Code Number Info?

The paint code on the inside door post says 936-9-3. Is there a way that I can find out what my car originally was, by looking up that number somewhere?

Scott,

According to the "Red Book" by Patrick Paternie, your car left the factory
with paint code 936-Siver Metalic.

Good luck,

Gerry

thanks y'all. that was what i was looking for. I'll save that color chart, too.

I always thought the original color was silver,, then a wierd red repaint, then back to almost the original color silver again. Now we know,

so, someday, this car needs a down-to-the-metal clean-up and repaint.

but for now, it's good enough.

thanks again.

for the purpose of future reference, you can go to paintscratch.com to look up the color.
