Alternator wiring advice (914-6 conversion)

Hi All,
Not to beat another "Alternator Wiring" thread to death, but I need some assistance with the wiring of my 2.7 with Valeo alternator into my existing '75 914 wiring harness. Here is a picture of the old harness cut from the back of the original 914 alternator (4cyl).

and here is the back of the plug that goes into the relay board. Luckily, it is still marked "D+" "D-" and "DF." However, my wires are brown, red, and green (not blue)

The D+ (red) and D- (brown) are self explanatory. The green wire is the one I have the question about. The back of my Valeo alternator was marked d+, d-, and d61 by the previous owner. Pic below

Also, I need to know where the large red wire from the alternator goes... Positive pole of the starter? That's what the length and location of the previous piece tells me (pic below)

Also, does the woven metal ground strap go from the case to the "-" post on the alternator as pictured?

Last, is the alternator oriented correctly with the voltage regulator in the six-o'clock position as pictured? This was the way it was installed when I purchased the motor. I don't think it would affect the functioning of the alternator, but it does affect the location of the air diverter vanes, and where they push that air. Many thanks in advance for helping me sort this out!!!

What I can help with. the ground strap in your last pic needs to go on on of the mounting bolts on the fan housing not where you have it shown the other end goes to one of the case studs. The diverter on the back of the alt. needs to be modified per the alt. upgrade bulletin on the pelican website see the page where you buy the alt. it has the link.
I have to look at my motor for the big red wire (lucky its out of the car right now) be right back-----------------------------yep it goes to the starter.
As for the green wire you need to look at a 914 wire diagram but it is possible that is the same as the blue wire if its not you will need to add the alt. light to make things work right what I would do is duplicate the 911 wiring for the alt. in your 914 and don't forget the load resistor the tech bulletin talks about if you cant get the light to out with the car running.

Good luck.
