What about using Ramps?

Can I use ramps with this car? Or just jack stands? Is there clearance?
Anyone tried it?

I have 3 different sets of ramps, the approach angle of the 911 bodywork precludes them from being used. Jackstands!

P.S. You could make some ramps from 2X12s and angle them appropriately to clear the body.

I use those black rhino? ramps sometimes, like when I changed the engine mounts or to do a valve job.
If you can't put then in front of the wheel try the back, sometimes the body interferes with just one side or just slide a 2x4 to make some clearance.

i have a set. very much a pain to use on both the volvo and the porsche. i have to put these 2 inch blocks of wood in front to raise the cars up so the spoilers dont hit the ramps. to make it worse, they all slide across the floor when i try to drive up on the wood. anyone want a set of ramps?

My standard ramps work just fine, if I put an ordinary brick at the base of each one to raise the car for the initial approach,and I have an IROC air dam--pretty low in front. I use the ramps on the driveway--don't have a garage--which is grainy enough to keep them from sliding.

Ramps will slide no matter what you do if you use them on a smooth floor, unless you do something like sinking big masonry bolts into the concrete to keep each ramp from sliding. But then you'd need to do that somewhere that doesn't require you to drive over the naked boltheads every day, so that may not be possible.

I would much rather trust good ramps to be stable rather than jackstands.

i have those rhino ramps as well but it seems like most of the time when the car is in the air i'm pulling wheels so they just sit.
