I just bought a car without a title, only bill of sale. MVD tells me I have to get a bond for 3 years for twice the car's value and they will title if no liens and no registered owner in 50 state database.

Trust me, that's the one. Let it go....heard that same college story, and the bs about the kid not being able to drive a stick shift. Funny there's a HD in the garage, gotta shift them too. And I saw it, it's 15 minutes from my house. Horrible repaint and other blasphemy. Unless you can get it for the $5000 I offered him to tow it away. And that was before he 'fessed up to the missing title. A lotta lotta work and $$$ to spend on that one....
And worst case scenario on that title, the parts wouldn't even bring what he's asking for it....

I suggested that he should advertise it on here and he'd get what it was worth, funny he never did......

If that is the car it has been on Epay and never sold a few times the pictures are a dead give away and never a word about the missing documents.

That's the one, he said there was no visible rust. That's the part that got my attention.

I appreciate the heads up.
