I just bought a FG reflector delete panel from widebody911... he may have some more.
Cost $165 shipped. You can sell your OE reflector for about the same or more DOC.

My FG reflector delete panel I bought on eBay but I believe it is one made from widebody911 as noted above. The quality is really quite good.

I love the ducktail with a centre 2-out muffler, and it's a look I'd like too. The problem this side of the pond is very tight noise limits at tracks nowadays :(
Just a thought, now you've moved the bumpers back, have you considered using a 964 smile to reduce the bulk of black seal by the bonnet edge? I guess being smaller it'd be lighter too

Thanks, I really like the sport muffler but if you buy one make sure you get pipes long enough to stick out past the bumper. With the stock bumper you could barely see the pipes which sort of negates the purpose in my opinion. The 964 smile is a good idea but I have already spent the dosh for a new 911 one so I will live with it for awhile.

I doubt I'd get through noise checks here with a muffler like yours (and my local track at Goodwood is one of the toughest, despite also being a working airfield!) but I'm going to investigate further. Another option is the old Rally muffler style, which retained the std single side exit, but with extra 2 centre pipes with caps.

I really hope my scruffy beast can evolve into a stunner like your car, but it will take a while

I've got to do my headliner... someday. Was it very difficult? Looks like no fun.

I had the guy doing my interior put the headliner in so I have no first hand experience. If you do a search there are some good pictures of people doing their own headliner install. Looks like it is important to have lots of binder clips on hand. Good luck.

On the first page you posted a picture of the engine and trans from underneath....... Does it have the engine case from a 3.2 Carrera??? I thought all the SC cases had sump plates. I wonder what other parts from the 3.2 you have lurking in there? Seems odd to me, because clearly it's still CIS. Didn't know if anyone else noticed the case, or maybe I'm just wrong about the engine cases?

I forgot to ask you the last time I posted; whats the deal with your muffler? I know you said you had to extend the pipes, or something to the effect that they would have come out far enough on a stock SC bumper. I REALLY like the look of that muffler! What is the finish on it? Paint? Whatever it is it looks like it's held up well.
I'd like to do the front bumper recession definitely, but I'm not sure I'll do the rear and wonder if there is a muffler that the pipes will come out far enough to spare the back of the car the soot. (M&K offers the GT3 style and the Sport style)

Porsche changed to the new case design during the 1983 model year. The story goes that they were wearing out the dies and rather than make new ones for a partial year of production, they just elected to use the cases from the upcoming 3.2.

I made no modifications to the muffler. It is a stock M&K sport muffler painted with high temp flat white paint. Probably not the most durable finish but I just love the look of white pipes sticking out the back. With the standard pipes and the stock bumpers the end of the pipe did not protrude past the bumper. Pulling the bumper back makes the pretty pipes more visible.

That gap would disappear with some black mastic, and the elasticity would prevent it cracking. Mask up the edge you want first on the lights though, as I usually cover myself and everything around in the stuff

Having pulled the 930 tea-tray off mine, I need to sort the back end and junk the rubber buffers. I'm also torn between buying a classic ducktail, or re-furbing the flat lid, while I've got a s/h GRP front valance coming which I've got plans for...

Finally got the speakers mounted in the doors. They will be hidden behind the cloth of the door panel so they had to be mounted into the doors first.

All of the glass is now in along with the black window trim. Paint has been polished but still awaits the final clean and shine until the interior is finished. The car is sitting on its new wheels and tires for the first time. Woohoo!

I saw the drilled doors handles that TRE did on the fraise RSR and could not resist them. I hope they understand that imitation is the ultimate form of flattery.

It is very satisfying to see all this come together after trying to picture in my mind for so many months how all the aesthetic bits would work on a complete car. I really like the way the frosted RSR wheels look against the arrow blue paintwork. Makes my old scratched and faded lug nuts look terrible though.
