Rattlecan Fuchs. How are they holding-up?

I found a great example of a perfect finish from Don in a different thread. Are there any more similar DIY wheels around?

Those look nice. Can you link us to that thread?
This is something I'm going to tackle this winter.

I've rattle-canned several wheels. Prep is the key to a long-lasting paint job.

I rattle-canned a set 7 years ago. Now they have 85,000 miles on and still look OK. Could use a re-fresh but acceptable for doing absolutely zero maintenance to them in all that time.
As stated, prep work is everything.

Yep. Prep is key. Lightly sand and use a self etching primer. Let the primer dry and then apply several thin coats of the finish color. I skipped the primer on one and it has chipped like crazy. The other three look great after 7 years..I need to pull the bad one and strip it for a respray. Sometimes I could really strangle myself for taking "shortcuts".
