I tried babelfish and got:

release with speed limiter 7000 min; Fliehkraftvarstellbereich 5, 75 VOLKSWAGEN double university earth jerk box

Based on my Gymnasium/Hochschule Deutsch, sfj911's translation appears accurate.

FYI, it is common in scientific & technical texts, especially in countries using the metric system, to use the -1 superscript for 1/unit, i.e. 7000/minute is the same as 7000 minute^-1. The same would hold true for force per unit area (if pressure units like Pa or Bar are not used directly) or heart rate (beats per minute).

In addition, many countries (esp including Deutschland) use a comma where we would use a decimal point, e.g. 5,75° for 5.75°.

Hey, if you want long German words, check out some brake system parts & service. Like Bremsenentlüftungsgerät, Scheibenbremsbelag, Bremsflüssigkeitswechsel, und so weiter (and so on).

Yes, some may have problems understanding the request, but in my experience (and I work for a German/Swedish owned company), many people in Germany speak far better English than most Americans do any foreign language, and even better than many Americans speak English!

Let's see:

Fliehkraftverstellberich =

Centirifugal force adjustment range

(German shorter)

Doppel-Unterdruckdose =

Double negative pressure box or
Double vacuum box

(Lets call it a tie)

Sorry for being a smart-ass (I like that english word)

Actually, I think the more appropriate interpretation would be canister in this application so the German wins!

Ok, I can't resist:

die Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften - legal protection insurance companies

and

das Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübert ragungsgesetz - law for regulation of beef labeling and delegation of supervision (in short, ReÜAÜG)

Imagine you were studying German legislation and/or insurance.

My Deutsch is not great, but I know those long words are just a few short words together without spaces or hyphens between them. It is not as bad as it might look.
