Um, what gets bolted here??

Installed my redone engine, and found this part. I saw where to bolt it to, but have NO idea what was bolted to it?? Maybe nothing?? I took a TON of pictures before breaking everything down, but this is new to me...

Thanks guys!

Might be hard to tell, but this is the back of the engine. I figured once it was installed, it would be obvious, but no such luck... lol

Thanks Tom!

That looks like the front of the engine; toward the front of the car.

A/C bracket would be on the rear of the engine, to the right of the fan.

In that picture, I am sitting on the transmission looking back to the rear of the car. Sorry for the confusion!

Can we see the other side of the bracket (ie. the inboard side of the carb). My first impression is that is a bracket for a sportmatic control valve.

is that for the micro switch, mine was mounted on the front of the carb but not needed now.
controls the enrichment circuit which you have disabled. no need for it.

Wow! What a strange place for an air conditioner!
