Which Weber Manual?

Our host carries 2, the Haynes and the Weber Manual by a Bob Tomlinson, anyone have opinions whether either, or both, are good, bad, or ugly?

Pelican Parts.com - Haynes Carburetor Manual

Pelican Parts.com - Original Weber Tech Manual

TIA

I found the Tomlinson book dated - good for broadstroke info and history. I found better info for free on the web. What Weber info are you looking for?

yes, and what are you looking to do - rebuild and tune?

here is a parts list:
parts breakdown

here is a procedure for rebuilding IDA48s (should be similar - but includes some mod work):
Rebuilding WEBER 48 IDA Carburetors - Aircooled.Net Tech Article

here is a process for tuning dual carb setup...the process work for any multiple carb setup:
Carburetors 102: Synchronize Dual Carburetors - Aircooled.Net Tech Article

A nice discussion on jetting basics (shoudl apply in theory):
http://www.aircooled.net/gnrlsite/resource/articles/jetting.htm

I am sure there are more sources, but this is a nice start and has helped me with muy multi weber setups in the past.

oops - forgot this one - basic theory:
Weber carburetor theory

Notice there are jetting and tuning sections on this particular web page. I would start here on this site first.

I have a brand new Haynes manual I purchased hoping it would have some good info for my Zeniths. It's worthless for Zeniths. If you're interested I'll sell it for $18 shipped.

Unlike the Haynes 911 repair manual, I have found the Haynes Weber manual to be quite useful and a good value. I've purchased several others, but can't say I have learned anything much more from any of them. Maybe a little more tuning/theory, but that's about it.

I want to rebuild, one at least is dirty, and tune as well,

ddubois - thanks for the offer, give me a few days to look over the links SpyderMike was good enough to provide and if I need more info I will likely take your Haynes book,

Thanks again all
