Question Looking for 3.8 RSR Dyno #'s ???

Does anyone have access to dyno numbers from a variety of 3.8 RSR race motors? Preferably motors with fuel injection and individual throttle bodies.

I am trying to see what real numbers I can expect to see from my new motor and once I have the results I would like to see how it stacks up to the others.

I have posted a pic from when the motor was first hooked up to the dyno and wouldn't start due to a Motec software issue.

That motor should make between 360 and 375 hp.
A factory 3.8 RSR made about 400 hp back in 1998

The engine was built for racing only and is designed to last about 55 hrs of race time. 3.8 liters, with CR around 13.6 if I remember correctly, tons of head work, gt3 RSR crank shaft, JE pistons, custom cams, TI valves & retainers etc., Gt3 oil pump, Carbon fiber replica of a GT3 intake complete with the Hiemholtz flap(spelling), Jenvey individual throttle bodies, Twin coil on plug set up (from Toyota motor sport division I think), controlled by Motec M800.
I am hoping to see HP in the low 400's but I am not sure if that is realistic so I wanted to see some dyno sheets of similarly built engines to see if it is achievable and to be honest to see what other people are running.

I really don't have any photos that are better sorry.

3.8 rsr

355hp stock, the best # we had when racing these things in anger was 408hp. Those are real numbers not inflated by "compensation." That engine was EFI management with slide valve intakes, camshafts and head design by a company named Thielert in Germany through Porsche Motorsports. We developed the engine with PMNA and then did our own rebuilds and managed the program at G&W through 1999, finishing off the air cooled program at Daytona in 2000 (last air cooled podium at Daytona with a 3rd that year in the middle of the new GT3R's that had problems with water pumps, etc).
That engine was my favorite. Tough, reliable and lots of torque but really no match for the water cooled engines after 2000. That race in 2000 began for us by missing the pace laps due to changing a bent exhaust valve (yep, changing the head and re-timing the cams in about 1hr 45mins) between the warm-up and race. Try that with a water cooled GT3...

Cole,
Thank you for the reply, what torque numbers/curve where you seeing with the motor and are these numbers at the wheel or crank? You wouldn't happen to have a copy of the dyno sheet you could e-mail or post?
Thanks

3.8 rsr

Those were at the crank, on my DTS dyno and backed up by the PMNA dyno. Actually, my DTS showed 413 after we did some further head work but I always used the "official" PMNA #. I will check and see what the torque figures were (out of town) since in those days we used paper mostly shoved in these things called file cabinets.
