Engine and Chasis No. Check Please?

Hello. Looking at car with following Chassis No (WPOZZZ99ZVS311760) and Engine No. (637854232). I have read about the chassis codes etc but how can I match Chassis to Engine No. Also want info on Engine Number ie is it Varioram version etc. Can I tell wheather the vehicle has the ABD system fitted from the engine number? Help??

Are you in the USA or is this a ROW car? If the former, you might be able to call PCNA Customer Care at 1-800-porsche and ask them. If you are only looking at it and do not own the car, they may be reluctant to answer all your questions, but should be able to verify that engine and chassis number match.

Are you referring to the 993 in Car and Classic magazine?

If so V certainly relates to a 1997 car

This Link should help. The V in the motor Nr is a 7 so 993īs (1997) indeed started with 637

Calling porsche would still be the best solution
