Window Regulator Pivot Pin
So I have determined that my window regulator pivot pin broke off. Found the tell tale part in the bottom of my door.
 And just to be clear, when everyone talks bout the window regulator pin, they mean part 1 in this diagram, not part 2 (center pin)? The spring uncoiled and hooked on 3.  I just want to make sure that the part 910392 or 910394 is what I am looking for. The real question is does anyone have a clue as to how to figure out if it is the 23 mm or the 26 mm? I went to check the other door and that one was unfortunately missing as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. V.

It is part 2.
Looks like 26 mm.

Also, You need to understand how the spring is wound to be sure the new one will work.
Before I locked my new pins in position, I tried them out to be sure they were wound properly. You want the spring at full tension when the window is down and minimum tension when up, that way the spring helps you to lift the window and the weight of the window helps to wind the spring.

Thanks for the info Harry.
I am curious if there is a replacement for part 1 in the above picture of the regulator? I wiggled my window regulator part way out and found the spring center pin is still there.  Thanks. V.

Looks like the pivot pin was from a failure that happened in the past.

Looks like no. 1 is an anchor for the one end of the clock spring. The other end fits in the slot of the pivot pin.
Be aware there are different variations of replacement pins - 4 I think. They vary by overall length and the orientation of the slot. Check the catalogs. Sherwood |

The original is swedged into the regulator arm - the replacement screws in from the back. Eventually they all break!
It is a no-fun job but it pays dividends. After a complete R&R, the window will glide smoothly up and down every time, to your continuing amazement! If you have electric windows, don't forget to open up the motor and grease the bearings and the brushes. Bench test with a battery before re-installing.

I'm not there yet (haven't started this project of mine this winter yet), but I think the pivot pin on sale here is for the center (2 in your pic).
