Wow Al - that's a great looking car. I can't wait to see it in person. It's cold outside, but it looks like you are on a roll. Keep going.

Rex,
Thanks..it's coming along nicely. I hope to get it on the road soon. Regards, al It is cold in my garage, for sure, but I have a propane heater to keep it fairly tolerable. Before next winter, I'm going to have to invest in some garage upgrades.....like heat.

Every time I see a thread of someone doing great work on a longhood, I get one step closer to selling the '84 so I can go buy one - looks great!

yea, I had an '86. I few years ago I traded it for a long hood targa and enough cash to buy a long hood coupe. Those were the days!

Nice. I'm at just about the same stage with my 71T. It's the same color as yours and these pics make me even more anxious to get it back from the painter.
What paint did you use on the engine compartment and I assume wheel wells?

Silver
Mark,
Thanks. Purists may cringe, but I elected to paint it Arctic Silver, a more recent Porsche factory color and slightly darker and deeper than the original 8080, Silver Metallic. I was influenced by Bob Tilton's car, which always seems to stand out from the other silver cars, when photographed next to them. Regards, Al

The pleasure was mine. I'm glad you took the time to come up for a visit. Thanks for the kind words. Al PS: It was cool that you had a chance to meet my neighbor, Ed Cahill. One of the "hidden" Porsche fanatics. Many cool Porsche(s) and other vehicles. He was very impressed with your 911........as he should be. It looks great and sounds great.

71E resto update
A minor update. It's not just in...it's alive. Took me a couple of weekends to track down some wiring issues, but.....this is a milestone.
