I checked as well, and the tool number is 60 not P213A. I will call tommorow and talk to Jerry Gold. They were closed by the time I got home. I will eat crow if I'm wrong.

Excellent marcesq. At $4.50 each that is excellent. You should take up FA-18c on his offer. . .since your in the same state.
You lost me there on why you would be "eating crow" if your source didn't pan out. Especially after you found the first half of the tool for us. Well no need for me to pick up one of these, now that I have a box of 2000 sitting on my desk ![]() . . . kinding; I did get a manufacturing prototype though. |

Phew, got mine 3 mintes ago with some spare blades as well...
And just for good measure (no pun intended), anyone who can make it out to Va Beach area let me know and there's a standing offer for FA-18 sim time....the full blown tour will hinge on how good you are at dialing in my MFI LOL Thanks to all, now I shall go forth and adjust...

Just put my order in. They are in Sarasota, Florida. Nice folks and should see it in two days. I ordered the blade ($2.95) but was not sure if it breaks off in segments or not. For the small change I will take the risk.

don't forget to do the modifications described previously, or it won't work as well as it should. the blade is used as is, the excess rolls up in the handle. the round end of the blade has to be snipped square with scissors and the cut dressed with a file to remove the slight burr from cutting. the 90° bend is done carefully so not to crack the feeler blade. pull the blade out of the tip a bit and bend it back over the tip. it should be about the width of the swivel foot adjuster so it's not too flexible. when the blade gets chewed up, snip and rebend. hopefully everyone will like using it as much as i do.

Got my instrument today. I am so so happy. I must be blessed to be associated with such interesting/ inteligent/ exciting people who know a fine tool when they see it, and will stop at nothing to make this dream a reality. Thank you every one, especially that special person who provided the inspiration for this to happen.

Now the fun starts. 1st the left hand side of the engine compartment is removed, no don't even think about leaving the plug wires and distributor cap on. Then the A/C compressor and the other little items on the right side. Dam, the oil lines (rubber part) to the tensioners are leaking. Replace them. Now remove valve covers on left (hold breath while the lower head studs are checked). Now on to the right valve covers (hold breath again). Dam S hose is rotten. Replace it. Drink a couple of beers. Adjust valves the next day!! Regards

The small Snap-On 3/8 torque wrench is waiting for some action. Standard procedure when torque checking is to losen nut to eliminate excessive/starting friction. Which I don't do with head stud nuts. Although gentle friction on your nuts can/may be called for. Marc..If you come over you are welcome to borrow the Snap-On. Your convience. I may take my new tool with me on a big ride this May. May not be home for 15,000 mi. My little fuel burner between my ears has been saying "don't leave home with out it"
