Thumbs up Does anyone recognize this 73T Coupe?

Hi all,

Does anyone here know anything about this car? I understand it came from Idaho, and since this site is so expansive I thought the previous owner--or someone who knows the previous owner--might recognize it.

TheSamba.com :: VW Classifieds - 1973 Porsche 911T Coupe

I just bought this car and would love to know more about it. Like the ad says...it is a ROCKET.

Thanks--

I have seen that post as well.

This particular car is proud to be a 911T, but supposedly the motor has had specific work done to it as stated in the ad. I haven't opened anything up, but the car is definitely faster (by a considerable margin) than any early car I have driven. I'm hoping either a previous owner or someone with information about the car can fill in some blanks for me.

Thanks.

Nice Chris - at this rate you're going to need another garage.

So if you want, you can store it in my garage and I'll keep it running for you - Oh wait no you can't I'm overflowing as it is

Seems to me that when she arrives we'll have to go on another drive, I still owe you an email address, sending pm now.

Looks like a great car and a blast to drive! I would chrome those overriders and add some black paint around the pedals on the Fuchs.

I know that car, it was stolen from me last month!

Return it forthwith and I won't press charges!

Just kidding, obviously. Very cool ride. I do hope that someone here knows the history and can enlighten us all. Good luck with it.

Both?

Someday, it'll be tangerine again. For now, and for the foreseeable future, it's red.

I've only driven it 3 times (test drive, drive home from seller, quick drive last night with my wife), and I'm already loving it.

Overriders = front going away, rear probably staying but not as-is.
Fuchs = I'm not nuts about the chrome, but I'm going to hang with them for now - I'm actually considering custom (wider) steelies, but I need to see what I can find....

Yeah--I suddenly find myself with 6 cars

Another drive is definitely in order. Let's do it after I get back from China (only gone next week).

They aren't chrome, just polished.

Still looks wrong.

You could rough them up and paint them yourself...
