3.4 engine join Gruppe HC Hyper Carrera
Well is was mentioned in the I'm better than you thread that a few of us can't really join sides because.............. Well we are just better than the others. So taking the suggestion of our own gruppe to heart and the fact it is early in the morning, cold and snowing out. I came up with a name (hopefully not used already) and a gruppe.
I hear by declare Gruppe HC open for membership. This group is for those who got a little bored (get it) with the rest of the pack and decided to enlarge ![]() I am sure that we too will shortly have extra large T-shirts, and perhaps oversized pit flags. We will need carbon fiber badges as metal would be just too heavy given the enormous size. So efhughes, 88-diamondblue and all the others I know you are out there. As a side benefit if you also happen to do topless. You can get a dual membership and proudly claim Hyper C.R.A.P. Join today before it is too late. Remeber world ends Dec of 2012. Almost forgot why we are better ![]()

Sorry, no pics currently available . . .
3.4 single plug (JE Pistons), WebCam 20/21, Fabspeed cat by-pass and 1-in-2-out, SW Chip, AC delete, Fikse 17" wheels, "race" seats, other weight reduction efforts in progress . . . 2748 lbs as of the last corner balancing with 1/2 tank of gas. Anyone know how I can remove those impact shock tubes in the rear . . .? Oh yeah . . . 1988 Diamond Blue Targa! What else could you want for a DE/Track Day car? Aaron

Here's another 3.4, although not quite as hyper as yours. I'm starting my own gruppe - Gruppe KOHC (Kind of Hyper Carrera)
Or I'll just join yours and wear a beanie. Jeremy, what happened to your car?

But I'm the hunt for a replacement. Really mostly to do with safety. It was too nice to put a cage in it. Cabriolets tend to fold if wrecked. I've had two oh Shyte moments at the track this past year - and had my gallbladder removed emergency (and at first they thought I either had liver disease or pancreatic cancer) I can't afford to keep it AND have a track car so my intent is to find a decent car and safety it up! On a side note is there anything that's as hyper as dfink's car?

Wow man, sorry to hear about that, but glad to see you're in one piece (or at least all the important bits).
Your car was/is beautiful and was in part the inspiration for my build. Looking forward to seeing what you do next. Quote:

If it's a 3.4 then its in. If its a 3.6 it will look kinda funny with the HC3.4 badges.
![]() Perhaps instead of the overdone grill badge we should have a nice engraved brass plate that would go on the dash. ![]()

Hmmm. Do water cooled 3.4s count? And can it be sitting under/near the car rather than installed in it?
