Throttle switch replacement question.
Hello. I was wondering if this is a direct replacement or is there an adjustment required afterwards? Also, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the hardest, how difficult is this job?
Thanks, Chris

Thanks for the info. I have a flat spot at around 2-3000 rpms and I'm hoping this will help.

The full throttle switch only affects the engine at wide open throttle, changing the DME mapping. You checked for a vacuem leak, and the AFM from what I've seen. How about the oxygen sensor?
OK you 3.2 xperts! ![]() |

That's a great chart. Thank you. The symptoms I have are a flat/dead spot from 2-3000 rpms then, as along as I stay on the accelerator the problem goes away and the car comes to life. I have had the reference sensors, fuel pump and fuel filter replaced. I have checked for vacuum leaks as well as cleaned the AFM. I am at a loss to the cause of the problem which has led me to this. If it doesn't work I will bring it to a shop and let them have a crack at it. If you have any suggestions I am more than willing to check them out.
Thanks, Chris

The thing that stands out in my mind is that it seems specific to an rpm range-it doesn't mater what gear I'm in. Are vacuum leaks that specific? I would think they would be more random. Also, I have not replaced my O2 sensor. I've heard as well that rebuilding the AFM might help by adjusting the wiper arm but have not done that either.
Thanks, Chris

OK you 3.2 xperts!
This link is for the o2 sensor, disconnecting the o2 seems to give a quick result |

Thanks for the link. I will try that 1st. Where is the O2 sensor plug in the engine bay? Is it on the same bracket as the cylinder head temp sensor?
Thanks, Chris

Look by your fuel filter. I have a 73.5 with a 3.2 conversion and I am not using one.
