ERP Front Sway install on Carrera

I just received new sway bars from Elephant Racing. The rear went on no problem. I've got to cut in the front one, grind off the original end link mounts and weld on the new ones. Everything I've read says for the 911 you do NOT need to remove the fuel tank. This seems it may be tough with it in, especially the drivers side. Will I get enought clearance if I remove the fuel fill tube?

What kind of experiences have you had with and install on a Carrera?

TIA

Kris

I found it easier to pull the tank. Pulling it is not hard.

I installed my front sway bar from ER w/out pulling the tank - which isn't hard, but draining the fuel is a PITA. Use wire or straightened coat hangers to lower the inside backing plates in place etc... so they don't fall into the abyss. Take your time and don't feel bashful about torquing on the inner fender sheetmetal w/the bar to align the holes side-to-side until the bar rotates smoothly when installed.
