So Cal Tire Source
I have a set of freshly refinished fuchs wheels that are near perfect and I need some tires. Can anybody recommend a tire shop in Southern California that can be extra careful with the wheels? I just had the tires replaced on my new BMW at one of the larger chains and they total jacked up one of my wheels. Needless to say I will never trust them again even though they said "sorry"

Just had a local America's Tire fit my Zuffenhaus Fuchs with some Nittos I purchased online. They took over an hour to do it, as they knew these were special to me and they wanted to do it right. Or have a shop like TRE do it (It was a Saturday afternoon, Dave; otherwise I would have swung by and had you guys do the job).

+1 on America's Tire. I have had at least 15 sets of tires done at this point and have tried everybody in town and they are by far the best of the chain stores and never had a complaint on a wheel done by them and this is with R-comps which are sometimes a pain to mount.
If you want the best though... when I had some ACS wheels refinished for my BMW, I had the wheel refinishing place mount the tires as with wheels that are completely painted, special techniques need to be employed to not bugger up the paint on the lip. Here is the link Wheel Repair Specialists - Alloy Rim Repairs & Sale of OEM and Custom Wheels they are in Santa Ana if that is close to you. They are not cheap by any means but they did a nice job. |

An additional detail:
I never take them the car. Just take in loose wheels. No one can be trusted to get near the aluminum lug nuts!

might be a good idea to specify your city, southern california is a big place and I doubt you want to drive several hours each way to get some tires mounted....

"Southern California" covers a lot of territory. Can you narrow it down a bit?

Bears Tires in San Diego. Clairmont Mesa area. Great prices but call ahead to be sure they get the exact tires and size you want before hand.

Go to Al Reed in Anaheim. He's quite careful with wheels.
