Question 3.2 "lazy throttle"

Now that my engine cover can be opened I can Investigate a few minor problems.

After reading an earlier post I know I am not the only driver who double de-clutches on the road.

However occasionaly when coming down thro' the gears the engine seems to "bog down" when I blip the throttle. Sequence

Select neutral, release clutch

blip throttle, then foot on clutch - revs stop at 3,500 -4,000rpm
blip throttle again

select gear

I am careful that my fott does not catch on the wheelarch intrusion.

Operating the mechanism at the engine end works OK.

Any ideas, new cable/ adjust linkage etc or more sinister injection gremlins.

While I'm on the subject, does everyone get "popping" from the exaust between gearchanges (up and down?!). I am running on super unleaded 97 octane, car is set for 98 I believe.

Rob
