I need new front brake rotors and new rear shocks on my 1969 911 and have some kinda newbie questions.
First; brakes. The front suspension and brakes on the car are from an SC, but I don't know what year or what model. Do all SC years/models use the same rotor/caliper, or are they different? If different, how can I tell which rotor I need? Second; rear shocks. It also has an SC rear end, but I'm not exactly sure which parts are stock and which are SC. Are SC rear shocks all the same length? Do I need to pull one off and take some measurements, or are they all basically the same size shock? Thanks for any and all thoughts or recommendations. Here are some shameless pics to keep you occupied while you think about it... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks man. Yeah, I'm totally in love. I'd drive it into my house at night if I could.
It has a few running gear issues; warped front rotors and totally dead rear shocks.

I replaced the rotors and all 4 shocks on my 81SC. The shocks should fit your 69. I would consider new pads and brake fluid too. I hope my 69 resto looks like yours when I'm done.

The brake guy is Eric Shea at PMB Performance. www.pmbperformance.com SC rotors are the standard 20mm thickness. Get standard, vented, undrilled Zimmermann rotors (available here). The calipers are called "M" calipers so get the corresponding pad size in a compound that matches your driving style. Street = ATE, Jurid, Textar... Track = Porterfield R4, Ferodo, Hawk, Performance Friction... Autocross/Canyon carving= Porterfield R4S.
Nice Car!
