Trunk Questions

I have a 1973 911 that is in a constant state of refurbishment. In the front trunk a few things that seem a bit ...odd.
1. What holds down the spare tire? There is no bracket or clamp on the gas tank 'hump.' When I got the car, the tire just sat there.
2. What holds the windshield washer tank in place? Is there supposed to be some kind of gasket around the neck, and is it supposed to be suspended from the hood threshold? Or is there some support under the tank or a strap I'm missing?
3. Where is the jack and the toolkit supposed to go? I've been wedging them in front of the spare tire, but I'm thinking that there must have originally been a way to strap them down.
4. Is there supposed to be some kind of shield or cover in front of the relay panel just aft of the fuse box in the forward part of the trunk?

Thanks for the help in advance, and any pictures and/or part numbers would be most helpful.

That is all I have.

For non-factory AC cars the answer is found at the Early 911S Registry:

The bottom of the reservoir I have seen has to be placed placed between the metal lids so no fore and aft movement is experimented.

Thanks.
For those of us with Factory AC, the front condenser prevents this installation. They moved the tank to the back of the trunk where there is a clip welded to the floor that the tank base attaches to. The tank is then held in place with a bungee cord between the clip and the top of the cardboard panel that covers the Fresh air blower.

Nope. I place the tool kit in the spare tire well and the jack in the space between the tire and hte front of the trunk.

Not on mine. They are just out there.

Hope I helped.

-there is a fiberboard formed shield in front of the relay panel
-spare just lies there
-washer bottle is held in by the three prongs in the chassis inside the trunk, and the neck of the bottle throught the hold-down bulkhead - (I made mine into a washer-bottle-delete option, and plugged the hole with some thick rubber foam padding)
-do you still have the metal battery straps and the rubber charcoal canister tie down?

There is supposed to be a rubber wedge on the R side in front of the spare and a rubber strap to hold the jack in place in front of the spare; if you look you can see the bracket for the strap (Pelican carries them, they break after awhile) and the bracket for the rubber wedge (the base of the jack pushes against the wedge).

Tool kit, all I've ever seen is to wedge it in front of the spare next to the spare quart of oil.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll look for the prongs for the washer bottle. I don't have the wedge or strap tie down for the jack, since I had to replace the suspension pan due to car cancer. The replacement sheet metal didn't have anything 'extra' on it. That piece for mounting the wedge looks like it'd be pretty easy to make, anyone know a source or have a picture of the actual wedge?

Bkreigsr, I thought there was supposed to be a cover over those relays. I do still have the charcoal canister and straps, but no battery hold-down straps.
