How to know when to replace plug wires? (82SC)
I don't know the age of my (braided) spark plugs wires. The car runs great so, do I wait for the car to start having issues to replace the disty cap and spark plug wires?
I think I read something about looking for arcing at night (AKA "light show") but I've not looked yet. Thanks!

look at the connectors, both ends for signs of deterioration or corrosion
check for proper resistance, there will be a range published in your tech Manuel. |

dumb question, but I wonder if you can see any arcing on braided cables - I'm thinking the braid (shield) will shunt them right to ground. Never had them, so I probably don't know what I am talking about.
On my un-braided ones, the dry condition and cracks in the lines were evident only when I got my eyes up close - and the arcing was very evident.

You can see arcing on braided cables if it is bad enough!
