how can i tell if i have the chain tentioner upgrade?

What signs can I look for to determine if my car has the tentioner upgrade? It's a 79' and does have a pop off valve and turbo tie rods, witch make me wonder about the chain.
Thanks! Sean

Are their oil lines running to the timing chain covers?

Here's an ok pic:

When you're looking at the engine from the back, There is a medium-size oil line that comes from the middle of the engine on each side.

The left one comes from right behind the distributor over to where the #1 spark-plug is (approx.) On the right side, about the same.

The standard lines are about the thickness of your pinky finger.

When you have the "tensioner update", in approximately the middle of each oil line, there is a "T" fitting, and a tiny oil line (about as thick as a fat piece of spaghetti) that goes down and into the chain cover (big flat cover) on each side of the engine, like in the above pic.

The two red arrows on the left of this pic are pointing to the chain cover area and the little lines that tell you you have the update. There's some brass standoffs that hold the tiny lines in place so they dont vibrate too much.

Here is a little better picture of the oil lines for the tensioner on the passenger side of the engine. If you have this oil line going to the chain covers you've got the updated tensioners.

Perfect Picture!
