Greetings once again! Finally returned but do need some help!
Hello all,
My name used to be bigbird944 on this forum about 4 years ago, in which I had a 1984 Porsche 944 as my first car, which also needed a lot of work, which I received tons of help from you guys, so once again thanks for that. Now I return, trying to fix my dads dream car. We just picked up a 2001 911 and we're getting some transmission slippage. It's a carrera with an automatic transmission. That's about all I know so far, not sure if there's a certain number or what not or where to look, as I am a virgin to working on any 911's. We're getting the error code P0733, P0734, and P0735. I checked up on these codes and they indicate "incorrect gear ratio" on the gear of the last number on each code, gears 3, 4 and 5. The guy at the dealer mentioned looking at something electrical, some type of shifting module. But I'm not sure if that's in fact the problem or even where or how to check if it's in fact the problem. Please help me out here guys. If you need any more info I'll be more than happy to try and help you help me. Any info is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Marian |

Welcome back! I hate to say this, but you will probably get more advice regarding a 2001 911 on Rennlist. That is not to say that you will not get any advice here. Good luck!
