Torque Spec?

Anyone know if there are torque specs for the 4 screws which hold down the throttle body on a CIS system?
Also torque specs for the 6 screws holding down the mass air flow meter?

Davy,

From Wayne's rebuild book... (don't yell, ok... )

Those nuts/screws are not specifically mentioned but it does mention following values for "miscellaneous" nuts.

here you go:

M14 X 1.5 150 Nm (110 ft-lbs)
M12 89 Nm (65.5 ft-lbs)
M12 X 1.25 95 Nm (75 ft-lbs)
M10 51 Nm (37.2 ft-lbs)
M10 X 1.25 52 Nm (38.3 ft-lbs)
M8 25 Nm (18.4 ft-lbs)
M8 X 1 27 Nm (18.9 ft-lbs)
M6 11 Nm (8.1 ft-lbs)
M4 3.1 Nm (2.2 ft-lbs)

Hope this helps.

Just "wrist" snug - no need to apply any level of muscle, if they're tight enough to not back off the o-ring will keep the part sealed.

Do you mean the fuel distributor/sensor plate housing? If yes, we'll be talking about the screws with a flat washer and spring. Tighten screws until snug, then back off each screw by one half turn.
Always replace gaskets and o-rings.

And again, almost 8 years later!

BTW for the 6 screws with springs on the mass air flow meter, Bentley says tighten them down all the way (presumably until snug but not super-tight) then back off one full turn.
