Power Mirror troubleshooting question

The power mirrors in my 1976 911 are not working. I move the door mirror adjustment lever in all directions and nothing moves. This is the same for both mirrors when I use the selector switch. I look in the fuse box in the trunk and don't see any blown fuses. I also don't see on the fuse box cover any location for a power mirror fuse. Is there another fuse I'm not aware of for the power mirrors or is there a way I can troubleshoot the system without taking the mirrors appart. Thanks

Ruben,
If your '76 is wired like the SC's, then the fuse for the mirrors also looks after the electric sun roof, and rear window wiper. On the SC's it is 25amps, and is in position #14, taken (back) from the front of the car. Consult your owners manual and see if this info matches your '76.

Mine aren't working either (apart from heat). Here is a wiring diagram if it helps!

Thanks for the info guys. I'll be doing some troubleshooting this afternoon. Yesterday when I looked, I did not see any blown fuses. The power roof is working fine so if it is the same fuse, then the problem is somewhere else. I'll report back what I find out. Thanks again

Success, power mirrors are operational again. Started by checking that I had a proper connection at the fuse box and no blown fuse. Next, I confirmed that there was current at the trunk penetration going to the driver side mirror. I next removed the driver side mirror and confirmed that no current was getting to the mirror even when toggling the mirror switch on the door and with the selector switch selected to the driver side mirror. I next removed the switch by unscrewing the top round plate on the switch and upon removing the switch confirmed that the female connector was loose. I used a coat hanger wire with a small hook on the end and fished the connector. I pulled it slightly to get some salck and then attached it to the switch. Walla! I tested the switch and the mirror started moving. Moved the selector switch to the passenger side mirror and it also worked. Thanks again for your help.

Note: be careful in removing the mirror because the allen head bolt holding the mirror connects to a hook shaped threaded nut which becomes loose and falls though the opening which holds it in tension. When the bolt is removed the threaded nut falls through the opening and lands inside the door on the base. I was able to remove my door speaker and reach in and retrieve it.

Checked mine today. Sadly my wires are all hooked up. Something more serious must be wrong.
