early euro turnsignal switch question/problem

ok, replaced the switch but have the parking lights flashing with the turns. The hazard relay is bad and will be replaced when we get back to regular opening hours....spend most of yesterday chasing the problem. so both of the switches have the same problem, therefore it is elsewhere?

any ideas out there....thanks

Hello

No seperate Hazardrelay. The hazardswitch could be the problem. Check if the hazard switch has ground.

I am interested in this if you get resolution!
I fixed a turn signal problem a month or so back (new relay and checking all the grounds). However, I get the parking brake warning light flashes like mad (5 times per second) if used WITHOUT the turn signal on!

I have 'Solved' this with the temporary removal of the parking light bulb - hardly a permanent solution!!!

fixing

New used hazard relay was replaced from under the drivers side floorboard. Now only one side of lights come on when you turn right. the driivers side is ok, passenger side is the problem. Bad ground is the diagnosis from all, just have to find out where.

But the inside on the dash, the small arrow on the speedo begins strong and fades to a hazard type of signal...

wierd.

In the time honoured fashion, I went round the car cleaning up all the earths I could find. However, I think the ones that made the differerence are the two main earths just above the batteries(assuming you still have two batteries) on the inside of the front wings. If you have not done so already, give these a rub!

I had a weird electrical problem when I was reinstalling all the lights, etc. back into my car after being disassembled for paint. I chased this problem for weeks before finally finding the cause. Remove all the lenses and bulbs from your parking lights, turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, etc. and look and the bulb contacts inside the lights and look very carefully at the bulbs themselves. What happened to my car was that whenever you would turn on the turn signal, it would make the parking lights and tail lights flash, or something similar. I forget the specifics, since it's been a couple years. I finally pulled out the bulbs on one of the front lights, it had two filaments and there was corrosion between the contacts for the two filaments causing a short resulting in electricity being fed from the turn signal circuit to the parking light circuit. So my advice would be to check the bulbs and their sockets for corrosion or shorts. Just an idea.

Hello

Generaly it would be nice to have the MY from your cars.

@ minimalcreative

Looks like your lightbulb uses a other circuit to get ground. So check your front and rearend flash lights.
