Need Help Deciphering My Option Sticker

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out the mysterious "Z" on the lower right hand side.

This is a German-market car fitted with the North American engine and factory cat. For some reason, it doesn't list the complete options...even though it comes with all kinds of goodies.

Anyway, does anyone know what that "Z" might mean? Thanks!

-Ray

I found that your car is in the number for an 86 RoW Cab but you should have the M491 option at least if you have a real Turbo-look.

Porsche came with a lot of goodies standard. My 81 has full leather and Sport shocks for options. That is it.

Could you car have been converted to turbo flares?

Here is an 87 window sticker to give you an idea of what is standard. 911's are not normally awash in options so you may not have any.

Not true. My options sticker only shows that it was a Cali car (C03). A few faxed docs and a call to PNA, confirmed I have a real M491. Here's the thread documenting my confirmation:

I've got the options, all right...sport seats, auto heat control, cruise control, factory alarm, and yes, it's a Factory Turbo Look.

It's that little "Z" on the lower right corner that I'm wondering about....

Hate to use the "do a search" line, but do a search and there is someone on here that maintains a site that helps decipher all option codes.

EDIT: Found the site, but no metion of just "Z" as an option code. Here's the site:

Porsche Option Decoder

EDIT 2: One more sight that may support nesslar's guess:

Probably is in conjunction with the "COO", no cat........ROW......so "Z"....
BTW, many factory options on my car, not shown in the options listing on any sticker.
Maybe dealer installed in some cases? Certainly not my central locking or 16" wheels, probably not the spoilers.......these inconsistencies for the lack of options records on labels attached under hood/at door are not uncommon, are they?
The "COO" must stand for some version, Canada, Japan, whatever....I believe France is "CO5"....mine is US, "CO2"....not Cali of course.
