Thanks everyone for all the assistance. While I've always loved the 911, I'm still a novice at doing much work myself and it still gets a mechanic's touch most of the time. It's great to have a place to go for good answers that allow me to sound at least somewhat intelligent when discussing these issues with the dealer.

Just remember, unless your dealer has an "old guy" in their service department (a guy who worked on SCs when they were new) it's very possible that you might be better off working with an independent.
