Replacing oil lines

The shop say the oil lines on my '83 Cabrio are leaking at the hose clamps at the tank and the other end. What's involved in replacing them?
TIA,
Lance

Lance,

Edit : I wasnt thinking clearly when I wrote this.

Assuming you are referring to the lines on top, in the engine compartment. It could involve quite a bit as getting to the location on top of the engine requires removing or loosening the whole intake. Or perhaps an engine drop. It is tight in there. Additionally, if they do drop the engine, there is probably about 1k worth of deferred maintenance that should be done as well.

Ask them if they plan on replacing the hoses or just tightening the clamps.

If you are referring to the lines running under the car from the tank, then something is wrong because that shouldn't have clamps on them, but who knows. If this is the case the labor is probably less time consuming if they know what they are doing, but the hose would cost more to replace.

Lance,

If I would guess, you could be referring to the rubber S-hose. Or any rubber hose for that matter in your engine are easy to replace. Could you be more specific by posting some pictures of the hose/s you want work on? Keep us posted.

Easy fix, I did a repair on the road when the hose ruptured on the way to Dodger Stadium. First day of Manny's suspension.......

Replace the hose...it's cheap.

Thanks for reeling that one in Tony. Oops, right, I forgot about the other hose under the car, what was I not thinking?
