I really like the mini duck on the Singer cars.
I am not really sold on the headlights on them though.

I think I just saw that car today at the Palos Verdes Concourse car show. It looked just like it but the tail was up. I think the tail looks better down.
I doubt there are 2, so I would say it was it.
Nice looking car.
It was on the Trump golf course. "Magnificent!"

Man, I just love everything about that car! I'd seriously consider a set of those headlights for sure. And if I could figure out a way to do the mini duck in a functional way I'd do that too.
My biggest issue is not wanting to stop driving my car for the time needed to do the work. I wish I had the patience, let alone the skills, to do those things.

Obviously from the pics it doesn't look like those head lights are something you can pick up at your local auto parts store

Put me down for the front spoiler, front bumper, headlights and possibly the mini-duck. I personally think these guys could sell the parts from the project without a problem. I wonder if they plan to do that........

I think a Mini duck on a 964 pop up grille is going to have function and a nice look when parked. Milt was working on one of those a while back I think.

One of the things I like about the Cayman is the little duck.

Old thread but just curious if somebody has a mini-duck by Betterbodies and would love to see how it looks like. I'm thinking of buying a duck and did some research and saw this thread as well.

Would this bolt-on my stock deck lid? I'm planning to remove the carrera tail and bolt this on without drilling holes.

AFAIK, Singer's is functional. IOW, it extends at speed, just like on factory 964s.

If all you need is a nice looking parked visual, this will do. As for functionality, get a working version or a duck tail. Engine lids are interchangeable, hinges may require adaptation.

mini duck

I have a mini duck from better bodies on my 77 Targa. Will post a pic. Easy to install, but needed a lot of fussing/sanding with the f'glass to make it fit the trunk lid properly. Something different than a duck or whale tail.

i have one but it is a bit bigger than the singer one, got it several years ago but i like the singer one so on the shelf it went. some pics.

it is designed to be bolted to the deck lid. might just cut and paste the lip on to the original 964 spoiler sometime.

You guys realize the Singer rear spoiler is there for functional purposes. Why not yours too? The cost for a used 964 spoiler/deck lid might be competitive.

Where did you get this? This one looks better as it is little bit higher than the one offered by better bodies or its the same one?

I agree, putting a functional 964 decklid is well recommended but requires additional work of relocating the A/C condenser at the front. IMO, the whale tail although functional looks better in a wider flared body and the duck or de-tailed one sits perfectly on a Carrera flare that is just me.

My mini duck

Had to do a lot of sanding/fitting for the mini-duck to sit "flat" on the deck with no gaps. Aluminum T bolts, CNC machined in our machine shop. Tapped for #10-32 screw. Something a little different.

Do you have a picture side view of the rear? I would love to see if from afar. Nice by the way.
