One more question, my Tach is not positioned properly, the "1" is at 6 o'clock, I assume that is wrong, so is there a way to "rotate" the tach to the proper position?
Thanks! Rod

You can pull the tach out, and re-orient to the correct position.

Many of us have rotated our tachometers so that the 6800 rpm power peak is at 12 o'clock. It's an old racing trick that helps us pretend that we're Al Holbert in an RSR...

Youwsir, Nine17.
I also rotate the speedo so I can see the part I need to know about through the spokes of the narrower wheel. |

I'm also one of those who has rotated the tach so that the shift point I use is at 12 o'clock. No pretensions about being Al Holbert, though - he was lots faster than I'll ever be.

Tach Twist
If you've never done it before it may not be obvious. The tach is just "press fitted" in a rubber gasket without any retaining screws/bolts/etc. You should be able to just pull it out while trying to "wiggle" it. If you need to pry it a little with a screwdriver/etc. be gentle and watch your dash and especially the relatively soft metal rim around the tach. Then just push it back in, lined up as you want.

I always found that it was easiest to pop out the left hand gauge and the pop the others out from behind using the whole left by the first. I never liked the idea of using a butter knife or any thing like that. I always had my tach and speedo tilted.
The standard is to not have any of the gauges tilted.
