Fan bellt socket?
I have a 1985 911 and would like to know what size socket is used to break the nut that holds the fan belt/pully assembly? I thought it was a 22mm but that is too small . I need to buy the correct tool. Thank you, Nick

Well, Nick, if it's not a 22, maybe a bigger socket might work like a 24? Also, do you have the spanner to remove the belt? Sounds like you need a repair manual also.

Thank's guys! Yes I have the spanner. Just got it in the mail. But I read in a tech article that the correct wrench was a 22. I'll go get the 24! Wish my tool kit was still there. Must save my cash! Nick

I think the SC's are 22 mm, Carrera's are larger.
