Hey Al,
Great article about this project in the latest edition (issue 6) of "Classic Porsche" Just bought a set of Triumph TB myself :-) Collecting parts for a future build :-) The issue also features another pelicanite, Margnus Walker, and his great outlaw collection http://www.911porscheworld.com/mepasite/369/Classic_Porsche.aspx |

Issue #6 Classic Porsche in stores now
Hey Al and those interested, I just found Classic Porsche issue #6 with Al's write up on his Triumph ITB set up in Barnes and Noble. Looks like a great issue with Magnus's cars also featured. Now I just need to find a quiet moment to read it. Back into the shop for me!....

can someone post the article here for us all to read...??

Great thread!!
I just bought a pair of tripples from a Sprint ST that I plan on using on my 2,0 liter flatsix too. Any tips etc. that I need to convert my carbed flatsix to MS is welcome so I think I will be keeping contacts with you about this!!:D Now I notice that these ITB's were mounted to the stock manifold. What If I just make an adapter/spacer and mount then straight above the head intakes instead? They would get closer to the heads this way too? |
Hebster,
This was a fun project for me and it was great to have an idea and follow it through to completion. I would be glad to answer any questions that you might have regarding the project. I also thought of making adapters to allow the ITBs to run straight into the head intake ports, or of keeping the Triumph spacing as-is and making an adapter for that, but after some consideration, I decided to use the Weber intake manifolds. One of the reasons for doing this was that I could modify the standard ITB to ITB linkage to work with this spacing. Also, the Weber/Zenith manifolds were plentiful and relatively inexpensive. regards, al |
Al, r u still planning on selling as a kit?
