sach's power clutch Kit VS. sachs standard clutch kit

I am getting ready to replace the clutch on my '83 911sc. What is everyone's thoughts and experiences with the power clutch kits and regular clutch kits?

Are the power clutchs harder to shift and are they not for daily city use?

Thanks in advance!

James

I used the power kit in a 1980 SC with a 3.6 . I could hardly tell any difference re pedal effort. The pressure plate is aluminum and lighter than stock. Pelican doesn,t list a power clutch as available anymore.

I put the power clutch on a 79 SC, don't recall any big difference in shifting effort.

I observed a notable improvement in throttle response.

I have the Power clutch as well. I didn't notice a big difference in pedal effort. With a properly adjusted clutch cable you shouldn't have any issues.

Inspect your existing cable and replace if you see any wear marks or fraying. At the very least remove it and lubricate it so it moves freely in the housing.

Changed over to the power clutch 5 yrs ago. If theres a difference, youll get used to it. Im pretty much street/city only.

Does seem a litte crisper and lets revs spin up slightly faster which is nice but also makes it tricky acclerating from a dead stop/stoplight on an incline sometimes. I would probably do the power clutch again.
