Setting Timing now speedo not working

Hi all,
I have a 83 SC 3.0 and after working on it this morning and now the Speedo doesn't work, i washed it, checked the timing, adjusting the gear shift coupler, but now the Speedo is registering nothing. I have clearly knocked or interrupted something.
Any suggestions?

Adjusted the gear shift coupler!!!! go back and re plug in the wire that's lying at the bottom of the coupler access. That's the spedo pick-up wire.

Exactly right. I knew I must have bumped something somewhere and you were spot on James. I had knocked the connector in the tunnel.
